The Schwinn Airdyne Evolution is a smaller and quieter version of the original Schwinn Airdyne. Its redesigned drive system allows for a smaller, and quieter, fan with all the same Airdyne resistance of the original. Patented Airdyne Technology uses a fan wheel to create wind resistance, automatically increasing the resistance as the user pedals faster. Its dual action handle bars engage the upper body and core muscles, giving a full body workout. Since then, little has changed about the unique Airdyne technology. Performance Monitor
The multi function monitor tracks time, distance, calories, calories per hour, RPMs, Workload, and has the ability to display Heart Rate, but you'll need your own HR monitor. Dual windows display two functions at once, with the ability to scan through function in each separately.
Dual Action Handle Bars
The Handle Bars on the Schwinn Airdyne Evolution swing in coordination with the pedals. This dual action engages the upper body and core, as well as the lower body, giving the user a full body workout.
Ergonomic Seat
The Airdyne Evolution's seat has extra padding and is ergonomically designed to provide comfort on rides of any length. The seat adjusts vertically with a locking pull pin and multiple hole stop settings.
Standard Pedals
The pedals on the Airdyne Evolution are standard flat pedals with no foot strap to keep the foot attached to the pedal. This limits the user to being able to push the pedals, but not being able to pull up on the pedals, which can give additional power and build leg muscles evenly.
Airdyne Resistance
Schwinn's patented fan-wheel technology exponentially increases the wind resistance the harder you pedal.
Floor Protectors
Rubber feet on the bottom of the frame protect floors from being scratched and carpets from rubbing, but for even more protection we recommend an equipment mat be used underneath.
